Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Introduction
These terms govern your use of FairSub ("the app"), developed and operated by AD AH AB ("we", "us"), a Swedish company based in Stockholm. By downloading, installing, or using FairSub, you agree to these terms.
FairSub is available on the Apple App Store. In addition to these terms, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms and Apple's EULA conflict, Apple's EULA prevails for matters Apple is responsible for (billing, refunds via App Store, account).
Apple's Standard EULA is available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
About FairSub
FairSub helps youth football coaches manage fair playing time during matches. The app is designed for coaches of teams with children ages 5–12, though it works for any age group. FairSub is a tool for coaches — it does not interact with children directly.
The app is offered in tiers:
- Free — full match engine, unlimited matches, local storage
- Coach — adds coaching intelligence (positions, full match rate, Live Activity, Monthly Report, halftime rotation) for an annual subscription
Additional tiers may be introduced later. These terms will be updated before they launch.
License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use FairSub on devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Standard EULA and these terms. You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where allowed by mandatory law
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Subscription terms
Pricing
The Coach subscription is offered as an annual subscription. The launch price is $14.99 USD/year (or local equivalent set by Apple). The price in your local currency is shown in the app before purchase.
Grandfathering: Subscribers who sign up during the launch period keep their launch price for as long as their subscription remains continuously active. Prices for new subscribers may increase at any time — current prices are always shown in the app.
Billing and renewal
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID via Apple In-App Purchase
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each subscription period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- Your Apple ID will be charged at the price shown at the time of renewal
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS)
Withdrawal right and refunds
Under Swedish and EU consumer law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal (ångerrätt) for digital services, starting the day the subscription begins. However, this right is waived if you explicitly consent to immediate delivery of the digital service and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once delivery begins. By purchasing a subscription in the app, you give this consent so that Coach features become available immediately.
Refund requests outside the withdrawal period are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly — all payments flow through Apple.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Coach features until that date. No partial refunds are issued for the remaining period.
If you cancel, your local data (players, matches, history) remains on your device. The app continues to function at the Free tier.
User responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Any data you enter into the app (player names, match information)
- Complying with applicable laws when using the app — including privacy laws for any personal data about players that you enter
- Keeping your device and Apple ID secure
- Using the app only for its intended purpose
You must not use the app to harass, harm, or collect personal information about minors in ways that violate applicable laws. FairSub is designed to minimize the personal data required to manage fair playing time (first name only, no photos, no contact details, no health notes). We encourage you to keep it that way.
Data and privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is collected, where it is stored, and your rights. By using the app, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
FairSub, the FairSub name, the logo, and the app content are owned by AD AH AB and protected by Swedish and international intellectual property law. These terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
You retain ownership of any data you enter into the app (player names, match records). We do not claim rights to your data.
Third-party services
FairSub uses the following third-party services for specific features:
- Apple In-App Purchase — payments
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Cloudflare Workers and R2 — Monthly Report hosting and Live Activity push delivery
These services are bound by their own terms and our data processing agreements with them. See the Privacy Policy for details on what data each service processes.
Disclaimer of warranties
FairSub is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific expectations
- We do not guarantee that the match engine's substitution suggestions will be perfect in every situation — the coach is always responsible for the final decision
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of any statistics or reports generated by the app
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any rights you have under mandatory Swedish or EU consumer law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AD AH AB is not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, loss of use, or loss of profits
- Damages arising from substitution decisions made by you based on the app's suggestions
- Damages arising from unavailability of third-party services (Apple, Cloudflare, RevenueCat)
Our total liability under these terms, to the extent liability is not excluded, is limited to the amount you have paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in this section limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Swedish law.
Changes to the service
We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. For subscribers, we will not remove core Coach features that were advertised at the time of purchase without notice in the app's release notes. If a significant feature is removed in a way that materially affects your subscription, you may cancel and request a pro-rated refund via Apple.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted at fairsub.app/terms with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these terms in a way that cannot be reasonably resolved. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the court of first instance.
If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and to use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under mandatory Swedish or EU consumer protection law.
